IQVIA Launches Orchestrated Customer Engagement
Next-Generation Technology Enables New Commercial Model for Life Sciences Companies
DANBURY, Conn. & RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- IQVIA (NYSE:IQV), a company dedicated to using analytics and science to help healthcare stakeholders find better solutions for patients, today announced the launch of a new commercial technology solution, Orchestrated Customer Engagement (OCE). This technology drives a new commercial model of orchestration, uniquely adapted for the life sciences industry, which connects marketing, sales and other functions, enabling them to more effectively collaborate with customers.
“Orchestrated customer engagement is a transformative technology for life sciences commercial operations,” said Michael Townsend, Research Manager, Life Sciences Business Systems Strategies, IDC Health Insights. “It can result in increased productivity, better alignment and communication between former silos in pharmaceutical commercial operations, higher customer satisfaction among HCPs and other stakeholders, and higher trust by HCPs through more relevant, timely and valued engagements.”
Orchestrated Customer Engagement, built on best-in-class technologies such as Salesforce.com, Mulesoft, Amazon Web Services, Heroku and others, provides seamless integration across a “platform of platforms.” The solution leverages IQVIA’s Ada™, artificial intelligence that gives users recommendations for next-best actions; Apollo™, an intuitive user interface; and Lexi™, an application program interface (API) layer to connect all applications and data using common language. Life sciences companies are able to implement OCE with IQVIA or with other providers certified within the Salesforce.com ecosystem.
“OCE is a major shift in the application of technology to bring a new category of enterprise software to the market,” said Tal Rosenberg, IQVIA’s senior vice president, Technology Solutions. “Orchestration combines multichannel marketing, sales force effectiveness and closed-loop marketing by integrating horizontal silos across a pharmaceutical enterprise generating unprecedented customer insights, aligning messaging with customer needs, and coordinating content delivery across multiple channels to multiple stakeholders.”
IQVIA is committed to developing innovative technology solutions that help life sciences converge functional silos, integrate processes, strengthen customer relationships, and more effectively anticipate and respond to market changes. Additional information about OCE is available on the IQVIA website.
Today’s announcement of the availability of Orchestrated Customer Engagement will culminate with a state-of-the-art event for industry executives, editors and analysts, at the Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
