IM Farmacias, Shoppertec and IQVIA celebrated the II Joint Conferences about Vision, Innovation and Market Strategy for the future of pharmacy

The II Joint Conferences of IM Farmacias, Shoppertec and IQVIA about Vision, Innovation and Market Strategy for the future of pharmacy were held last February 27, in Madrid and March 1, in Barcelona.

The events began with the presentation of the results of the IV Barometer of the Pharmacy Office, Ángel Salada, IM Farmacias Director, analyzed the weaknesses and strengths of the sector.
José Antonio Andreu, Managing Partner of Shoppertec, explained that the laboratories have even better economic expectations than the pharmacy, they are quite optimistic". The IV Barometer has also analyzed the opinion of this sector in 10 current items.

Miguel Martínez, Offering, Data Supply and Client Service Director of IQVIA Spain, attended the conference in Barcelona to talk about the evolution and trends of the Spanish pharmaceutical market. While in Madrid, Concha Almarza, IQVIA Spain General Director, was the one that addressed the theme of evolution.

Almarza emphasize that the street prescription market is the same size as the hospital prescription market. In addition, she distinguished between the prescription market and the self-care market. In 2017, both markets decreased 1% in units. Although, the price helped to compensate that decrease.
