IQVIA and Sapio Sciences collaborate to provide Laboratory System to the National Genome Center in Denmark

The Danish National Genome Center has entered into an agreement with IQVIA to deliver a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

COPENHAGEN, DENMARK. – June 30, 2021 – The Danish National Genome Center has entered into an agreement with IQVIA to deliver a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The contract was awarded to IQVIA Denmark after a national bidding process lasting for more than a year.

The system that will support the Genome Center in managing genomes from patients is developed by IQVIA partner Sapio Sciences - a leading provider of Laboratory Management Systems based in the US. IQVIA Denmark will deliver consulting services in a contract period for four years.

IQVIA will deliver consulting services based on local knowledge and global expertise

IQVIA already collaborates with IQVIA England and has deep healthcare and life sciences domain expertise to manage and curate real-world data with advanced analytical technologies. Kenneth Mikkelsen, General Manager IQVIA Denmark elaborates on these capabilities and the opportunities with genomics data:

“We already have a solid foothold in the Danish Healthcare Sector serving several Government agencies and hospitals. We are very pleased to expand this foothold with an organization like The Danish National Genome Center that is on an extremely interesting journey, which is critical to accelerate treatment advancements for patients.”
