California Resident - Patient

You self-identified as a California resident who was previously or is currently a patient. Because our research services are generally conducted using non-identified patient information, it is unlikely we collect, hold or sell any personal patient information about you that is regulated by the CCPA.

If you participated directly in an IQVIA study in which your identity was known to IQVIA and you wish to determine whether IQVIA holds or sells that information to others in order to exercise any of your rights under the CCPA, then please contact us at: or visit our “Contact Us” page: and provide the following information:

  • Subject line: CCPA Request
  • Describe which CCPA right(s) you are exercising
  • Your full name
  • Your full address
  • Your telephone number used in connection with the study (if applicable)
  • Your email address used in connection with the study (if applicable)
  • Your email address where we can communicate with you regarding this CCPA request (if different from the email address described in the preceding bullet)
  • Name / topic of the study (excluding participation in a clinical trial)
  • Date(s) you participated
  • Manner in which you participated (e.g., on-line web survey, 1-on-1 interview, written questionnaire)
  • Country of participation
  • Copy of any materials you received from IQVIA relating to the study

Please note the above does not apply to your participation in a clinical trial. IQVIA does not sell personal information relating to a patient’s participation in a clinical trial. IQVIA shares clinical trial information with organizations and their representatives that are participating in the clinical trial (e.g., clinical trial site, clinical trial investigator, clinical trial sponsor, government agencies regulating these activities, and any affiliated organizations or vendors engaged to support the clinical trial).

You may be required to submit proof of your identity to make a request described above to IQVIA to be processed as a verifiable consumer request. IQVIA may not be able to comply with your request if we are unable to confirm your identity or to connect the information you submit in connection with your request with personal information in our possession. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf subject to proof of identity and authorization. We will respond to your request pursuant to the requirements of the CCPA. The CCPA does not apply to certain information, including information made available from government records, certain data subject to the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and certain other laws, and where its application is preempted by, or in conflict with, Federal law, the United States Constitution, or the constitution of a state (as applicable).

If you did not participate in the type of study described above, then IQVIA has determined that you are not a California resident for whom IQVIA collects, holds or sells personal information in this context (i.e., as a patient) as regulated by the CCPA. Please read our general privacy pages (available at to understand IQVIA’s commitment to privacy, and how we collect and use information to advance human health globally through the discipline of human data science.
