IQVIA would like to share ideas that other Vendors have found useful in complying with the restrictions and obligations of the IQVIA Third Party Access Limited License Agreement. Vendors are required to take all reasonable steps necessary to protect IQVIA Data from unauthorized use, access, disclosure, misappropriation, or misuse. Limiting use of IQVIA Data is a critical step towards ensuring compliance. Below are some hints to help you do this.

Identify IQVIA Data

  • IQVIA Data includes the original IQVIA Data, i.e., the Market Research Offering
  • It also includes any information derived, directly or indirectly, from the original IQVIA Data

Only Use IQVIA Data to Benefit the Client

  • IQVIA Data shall be used to benefit only the specific Client identified in the applicable TPA Agreement
  • IQVIA Data may not be used to benefit any other party including the Vendor or its affiliates

Only Use IQVIA Data for the Permitted Use(s)

  • IQVIA Data may be used only for those Permitted Use(s) specified in the applicable TPA Agreement
  • No other use is permitted for the Client or any other party

Example Prohibited Uses

  • Do not use IQVIA Data to create or improve any Vendor offering
  • Do not use IQVIA data to create or improve any other data except Client data for the sole benefit of the Client as specified in the applicable TPA Agreement
  • Do not benchmark Vendor data against IQVIA Data unless expressly authorized in the Permitted Use definition and then only for the sole benefit of the Client as specified in the applicable TPA Agreement
  • Do not use IQVIA Data to promote Vendor products or services except for the sole benefit of the Client as specified in the applicable TPA Agreement

 

Refer to the Third-Party Access Limited License Agreement

When in doubt, refer to the IQVIA Third Party Access Limited License Agreement. It is the document that controls. This Helpful Hints is only intended to be a useful guide and does not change any legal obligations Vendor may have under the Agreement.
