OHDSI (OMOP) Services

Expand real-world data access via the OHDSI/OMOP    network

Perform higher quality, reproducible studies across OHDSI’s growing network of observational health databases, leveraging IQVIA as a coordinating center. This global network provides access to more than 150 databases, across 21 countries with 2B+ patient records; most of which are otherwise commercially unavailable.

Through this network, IQVIA provides you with faster, more cost-effective and more reliable analytics.

What is OHDSI/OMOP?

Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) is a public initiative independent of IQVIA. As an international research community that promotes open-science, stakeholders work collaboratively to conduct outcomes-based research at scale.

OHDSI standardizes the way research is performed using standard analytical methods, tools and the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) and Standardized Vocabularies.

How does OHDSI/OMOP create value?

The OMOP common data model transforms observational health data into a common format that allows real-world evidence to be generated using OHDSI standardized analytical methods and tools.

The OHDSI network and OMOP common data model (CDM), belong to a reputable list of federated networks (e.g. PCORnet, TriNetX, Clinerion) and CDMs (e.g. PCORI, i2b2, Sentinel) that have been developed to harmonize disparate health data for improved reproducibility and shareability in clinical research.

Why choose OHDSI/OMOP?

Stakeholders choose OHDSI/OMOP to:

Conduct faster, more reliable studies across a series of datasets and data types (i.e. claims, EMR and EHR data)

Reduce costs of ownership, including understanding coding schemes, writing statistical programs across databases or developing software

Expand data access via the OHDSI network and remote multi-center database studies
